The Victron EasySolar-II GX brings the core of a premium solar power system into one prewired enclosure. It combines a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, SmartSolar MPPT-Tr solar charge controller and GX monitoring hub, helping reduce separate components and wiring in substantial caravan, motorhome, marine and off-grid installations.

Choose from 24V and 48V models to match your battery bank, AC load and solar array. Integrated GX connectivity gives you local system control plus remote monitoring through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal when the unit is connected to the internet.

Choose the right EasySolar-II GX model

Model Inverter output at 25°C Battery charger Solar controller Maximum PV power AC transfer
24/3000/70-32 3000VA / 2400W 70A MPPT 250/70 2000W 32A
48/3000/35-32 3000VA / 2400W 35A MPPT 250/70 4000W 32A
48/5000/70-50 5000VA / 4000W 70A MPPT 250/100 5800W 50A

The 3000VA models deliver 5500W peak power. The 5000VA model delivers 9000W peak power. Select 24V or 48V to match the nominal voltage of your battery system.

Why choose EasySolar-II GX?

  • Three core functions in one enclosure: inverter/charger, MPPT solar charging and GX system control are integrated and prewired.
  • PowerControl and PowerAssist: manage limited shore, grid or generator input and supplement it with battery power when required.
  • Remote monitoring: review system data, settings and alarms through the Victron VRM portal.
  • System connectivity: BMS-Can, USB, Ethernet, VE.Direct and Wi-Fi interfaces support integration with compatible Victron equipment and managed batteries.
  • Backup and energy storage capability: suitable for professionally designed off-grid, backup and ESS applications.

Selection and compatibility

  • Match the unit to a 24V or 48V battery bank. The inverter DC input ranges are 19–33V for the 24V model and 38–66V for the 48V models.
  • Size the inverter for both continuous loads and startup surge. Air conditioners, pumps and other motor loads can require substantially more power at startup.
  • Design the PV string so its maximum open-circuit voltage remains below 250V in all expected conditions. Cold weather can increase solar-panel voltage.
  • The integrated BMS-Can port works with compatible CAN-bus managed batteries. It is not a VE.Can port, so confirm the battery and communications method before ordering.
  • Allow for the enclosure size and weight. The 3000VA models are 499 × 268 × 237mm and 26kg. The 5000VA model is 604 × 323 × 253mm and 38.6kg.

Installation notes

This is a high-power 230V inverter/charger and solar controller intended for a carefully designed electrical system. Cable sizes, fusing, isolation, earthing, battery protection, PV configuration, ventilation and programming must suit the installation. Have the system designed, installed and commissioned by suitably qualified electrical and solar professionals. The enclosure is rated IP21 and should be installed in a suitable protected location.

Frequently asked questions

Does the EasySolar-II GX need a separate GX controller?

No. GX control and communications are integrated. The unit includes a 2 × 16-character display plus BMS-Can, USB, Ethernet, VE.Direct and Wi-Fi interfaces.

Can it work with lithium batteries?

Yes, it can be configured for compatible lithium battery systems. Confirm the battery manufacturer's charging settings, BMS communication requirements and required protective equipment before installation.

Which model should I choose?

Choose the battery voltage first, then assess your continuous AC demand, surge loads, available AC input and planned solar array. The 24V 3000VA model suits 24V banks, while the 48V models support larger 48V systems. The 5000VA model provides greater AC output, transfer capacity and solar-controller capacity.

Is it suitable for a caravan or motorhome?

It can suit larger caravan, motorhome and mobile power systems when the voltage, load, solar array, space, weight and electrical design are appropriate. For smaller installations, separate Victron components or a lower-capacity inverter/charger may be a better fit.
