Add a second warm-air outlet to an AUTOTERM Air 2D diesel heater system. This four-piece ducting kit helps distribute heat to another area of a caravan, motorhome, campervan or boat while keeping the Air 2D and Air 4D outlet systems clearly separated.

Order online for delivery across Auckland and throughout New Zealand. If you are unsure about your existing duct size or outlet layout, contact Select Caravans before ordering.

This is a warm-air distribution accessory, not a heater kit. It does not include a heater, controller, fuel system, exhaust parts or electrical components.

What is included

Quantity Supplier code Component
4m RVD650 Hot-air ducting, 60mm ID / 65mm OD
1 RVZ8290 Universal 65mm flange for grille or deflector
1 RVZ8292 Universal 65mm closeable deflector vent
1 RVZ8296 Universal 65mm 45-degree Y-adapter

Diameter and compatibility checks

  • The included flexible duct is listed by the NZ supplier as 65mm because its external diameter is 65mm. Its internal diameter is 60mm.
  • AUTOTERM specifies a minimum 60mm duct path for Air 2D heaters. The included RVD650 ducting matches that internal diameter.
  • This kit is intended for the AUTOTERM Air 2D warm-air system. It is not the 90mm Air 4D kit.
  • Check your existing heater model, outlet connection, planned branch position and available route before ordering.

Installation and airflow safety

  • Keep the duct route as short, straight and simple as practical. Flattened ducting, tight bends and unnecessary restrictions reduce airflow.
  • Keep the first metre from the heater outlet as straight as possible and avoid sharp 90-degree bends in that section.
  • In a multi-outlet system, at least one outlet must remain non-closable to protect the heater from overheating.
  • The vent supplied in this kit is closeable. Retain the original non-closable outlet, or another permanently open outlet, in the completed system.
  • Clamps, screws and other fixings are not listed as kit components. Confirm the hardware required for your installation before starting.

Heater ducting affects airflow and operating temperature. Use a competent installer if you are not confident planning or modifying the outlet system.

Frequently asked questions

Does this fit the AUTOTERM Air 4D?

No. This RVD683 kit is for the Air 2D system. The Air 4D uses the separate 90mm outlet kit.

Why is the duct described as both 60mm and 65mm?

The supplied RVD650 flexible duct has a 60mm internal diameter and a 65mm external diameter. NZ suppliers commonly describe it as 65mm ducting, while AUTOTERM identifies the Air 2D connection system as 60mm.

Can I close the added vent?

Yes, but the added closeable vent must not leave the heater with every outlet closed. At least one outlet in the system must remain non-closable.

Are clamps and mounting screws included?

They are not listed in the verified four-piece kit contents, so they should be treated as separate unless confirmed at the time of purchase.

Does this kit increase the heater output?

No. It divides and routes the Air 2D heater's existing warm-air flow to an additional outlet. It does not increase the heater's 2kW output.

Can Select Caravans help check the fit?

Yes. Send us your heater model, existing duct measurements and a simple photo or sketch of the proposed route. We can help Auckland customers and buyers throughout New Zealand confirm the right outlet kit before ordering.
