The Autoterm ARIZONA 600 is a compact 12V hydronic fan matrix that transfers heat from a closed coolant circuit into cabin air. Its front grille, integrated coolant-valve control and three-speed fan make it a practical cabin heater outlet for motorhomes, campervans, caravans, work vehicles and suitable marine installations.
This is not a stand-alone diesel heater. It needs a compatible hydronic heat source, circulation system and 12V electrical supply. Autoterm lists it for use with Flow liquid heaters, including the Flow 5D 12V hydronic heater.

What the front controls do
One front knob operates the integrated coolant valve, while the other selects the fan speed. This provides direct manual control over coolant flow and airflow. The product should not be treated as an automatic room thermostat unless a separate temperature-control system is designed into the installation.
How it works
Hot coolant passes through the internal heat exchanger while the 12V blower draws cabin air across the core. Warm air then exits directly through the front grille. The matrix does not create 5.9kW of heat by itself. Actual cabin output depends on the heat source, coolant temperature and flow, inlet-air temperature and selected fan speed.
When paired with a 5kW Flow 5D, the completed system remains limited by the heat available from that heater and the rest of the coolant loop. The 5.9kW figure is the matrix rating under stated test conditions, not additional heat generation.

Flow 5D plumbing and electrical check
The 12V Flow 5D uses 18mm coolant connections, while the ARIZONA 600 uses 16mm connections. Your installer should plan the correct coolant hose, reducers or adaptors, clamps, circulation direction, expansion provision and bleeding points.
The installation guide specifies at least 1.5mm² electrical conductors and a 15A fuse for the 12V ARIZONA 600. Cable length, voltage drop, isolation and the complete circuit must still be checked for the vehicle or vessel.
Installation guidance
- Install the unit in a ventilated, dry and protected location with an unobstructed cabin-air inlet.
- Keep the blower-motor axis as close to horizontal as practical.
- Use the specified 235 × 170mm cut-out and allow more than the 227mm unit depth for hoses, wiring and service access.
- Do not drill into the heater body. The guide specifies eight fixing screws, which are not supplied.
- Use coolant hose and clamps suitable for the application, follow the intended inlet and outlet, and test the circuit for leaks.
- Use appropriate antifreeze and anticorrosive coolant suitable for copper and aluminium.
- Have the hydronic and electrical system installed or checked by a suitably experienced technician.
Inclusions and exclusions
The ARIZONA 600 has its front grille, integrated coolant valve and control knobs. Autoterm states that the two-pin connector kit FR052 is available separately and is not included. The supplier page does not publish a definitive full box list, so confirm hoses, reducers, clamps, wiring accessories and other installation parts before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Will this work with the Autoterm Flow 5D?
Yes, Autoterm lists the ARIZONA 600 for Flow liquid heaters. The completed system still needs correctly sized coolant plumbing and electrical wiring. Note the Flow 5D's 18mm connections and the matrix's 16mm connections.
Does the matrix burn diesel?
No. It is a water-to-air heat exchanger with a 12V blower. A separate hydronic heater or other compatible heat source warms the coolant.
Is it automatically thermostatically controlled?
The front panel provides manual coolant-valve and fan-speed controls. Do not assume automatic room-temperature regulation unless a suitable separate control system is included in the installation.
Does it connect to warm-air ducting?
This ARIZONA 600 version delivers warm air directly through its front grille. Choose the separate three-outlet TENERE PERFORMA 3D60 matrix if your design needs 60mm warm-air ducts.
Why is the matrix rated at 5.9kW when the Flow 5D is a 5kW heater?
The 5.9kW figure is the matrix rating under specified test conditions. It does not increase the heater output. Real cabin heat is limited by the heat source and the completed coolant system.
Can I connect this unit directly to 24V?
No. This listing is the 12V ARIZONA 600, Autoterm assembly FR012. Use the correct 24V model rather than connecting this unit directly to a 24V supply.
