Powrtouch Evolution Twin 2-Motor Auto Caravan Mover
RVP2830
Automatic roller engagement with two-motor control for twin-axle caravans. The Powrtouch Evolution Twin uses two drive motors and soft-start control to help position a compatible caravan at low speed. It suits owners who want automatic engagement and have reasonable turning space.
This is the twin-axle, two-motor automatic model. It is not the four-motor AWD version. Two motors act on one axle, so the other two caravan wheels are not powered. For tight turns, difficult surfaces or more demanding twin-axle manoeuvring, compare the Powrtouch four-motor AWD models.
Capacity figures are manufacturer ratings, not a promise of performance on every surface. Loaded weight, gradient, tyre condition, battery health, installation geometry, turning radius and ground conditions all affect performance.
A caravan mover is not a universal-fit accessory. Confirm the chassis profile and depth, axle spacing, tyre clearance and available space around brakes, suspension, tanks, plumbing and cables. Check the remaining payload and ground clearance after allowing for the mover's approximate 35kg system weight.
Powrtouch's installation manual covers common chassis depths of approximately 150mm and 200mm. Some caravans require special mounting plates. The twin-axle two-motor unit is normally fitted behind the rear axle, or in front of the front axle where rear installation is not possible.
Ask us to check your caravan make, model, year, loaded weight and underside photos if fitment is uncertain.
With the isolator and handset switched on, the handset controls the actuator that moves both rollers onto the tyres. Always visually confirm both rollers are fully engaged before releasing the handbrake. The handset then controls direction and offers speed settings from 25% to 100%.
The Powrtouch installation manual lists the left and right mover units, electronic control box, handset, centre bar, clamps, stop blocks, motor and actuator wiring, fused battery wiring, isolator switch, side covers, fixings and a manual-release T-bar. Confirm the exact carton contents before installation.
A suitable leisure battery, special mounting plates and installation labour should not be assumed to be included.
Powrtouch states a five-year guarantee for this model. Contact Select Caravans before purchase if you need confirmation of New Zealand registration, installation conditions or the local claim process.
No. This version has two motors for a twin-axle caravan. Choose a four-motor AWD model when all four wheels need to be driven.
The handset electrically moves the rollers onto and away from the tyres. The same handset controls caravan movement.
Do not buy this model on that assumption. Powrtouch positions the two-motor Twin for gentler turns where reasonable manoeuvring space is available. Four-motor AWD provides greater control for tighter turns.
No. Chassis dimensions, axle spacing, underfloor equipment and tyre clearance must be checked. Special mounting plates may be required.
