The Autoterm ARIZONA LN is a compact, low-noise 12V hydronic fan matrix for warming cabin air in motorhomes, campervans, caravans, work vehicles and suitable marine installations. It transfers heat from a closed coolant circuit into cabin air through its direct front grille.

This is not a stand-alone diesel heater. It needs a compatible hydronic heat source or engine coolant circuit, a circulating coolant system and a 12V electrical supply. Autoterm lists it for Flow liquid heaters, including the Flow 5D 12V hydronic heater.

Controls and thermostat wording

The ARIZONA LN has an integrated coolant valve and front-mounted controls for the valve and single-speed fan. Some supplier listings describe the unit as thermostatically controlled, but the current Autoterm and Siroco product data do not establish automatic room-temperature sensing. Do not assume this matrix replaces a separate room thermostat or complete system controller.

How it works

Hot coolant passes through the internal heat exchanger while the 12V blower draws cabin air across the core. Warm air then exits directly through the front grille. The matrix does not create 2.75kW of heat by itself. Actual cabin output depends on the heat source, coolant temperature and flow, inlet-air temperature and installation.

When paired with a 5kW Flow 5D, the system remains limited by the heat available from that heater and the completed coolant loop. The 2.75kW figure is the matrix rating under stated test conditions, not additional heat generation.

Flow 5D plumbing check

The Flow 5D uses 18mm coolant connections, while the ARIZONA LN uses 16mm connections. Autoterm lists 16mm coolant hose and an 18-to-16mm connector option for this type of installation. Your installer should plan the correct hose, reducers or adaptors, clamps, circulation, expansion provision and bleeding points.

Installation guidance

  • Use the manufacturer drawing to check the 269 × 198mm front face, 235 × 170mm cut-out, rear depth, hose path and service access before cutting.
  • The drawing shows six 3.7mm fixing points. Confirm suitable fasteners and mounting support for the installation.
  • Keep the cabin-air inlet and front grille unobstructed.
  • Use coolant hose and clamps suitable for the application and test the completed loop for leaks.
  • Use antifreeze and anticorrosive coolant suitable for the metals and operating temperatures in the system.
  • Protect the 12V circuit appropriately and have the hydronic and electrical system installed or checked by a suitably experienced technician.

Inclusions and exclusions

Autoterm states that the two-pin connector kit FR052 is available separately and is not included. The supplier page does not publish a definitive full box list, so confirm hoses, reducers, clamps, wiring accessories, fasteners and other installation parts before ordering. A supplier attachment labelled additional ducting is a generic Autoterm ducting reference and does not establish that ducting is included or required for this direct-grille matrix.

Frequently asked questions

Will this work with the Autoterm Flow 5D?

Yes. Autoterm lists the ARIZONA LN for Flow 5 D/B and Flow 14D liquid heaters. The completed system still needs correctly sized coolant plumbing and electrical wiring. Note the Flow 5D's 18mm connections and the matrix's 16mm connections.

Does this matrix burn diesel?

No. It is a water-to-air heat exchanger with a 12V blower. A separate hydronic heater or compatible engine coolant circuit supplies the heat.

Is it an automatic room thermostat?

The matrix has an integrated valve and front controls, but current manufacturer data do not confirm automatic room-temperature sensing. Confirm the intended temperature-control method for the complete system before installation.

Can I select different fan speeds?

No. FR026 is the 12V single-speed ARIZONA LN. Choose another matrix if your installation requires multiple fan speeds or ducted warm-air outlets.

Does it connect to warm-air ducting?

This model delivers warm air directly through its front grille. It is not the separate TENERE PERFORMA 3D60 matrix with three 60mm duct outlets.

Can I connect this unit directly to 24V?

No. This listing is the 12V ARIZONA LN, Autoterm assembly FR026. Use the correct 24V model FR037 rather than connecting this unit directly to 24V.
