The AUTOTERM PU-5, now called Simple Control, provides straightforward rotary control for compatible AUTOTERM Air diesel heaters in caravans, motorhomes, campervans, boats and other mobile installations. Use the dial and two buttons to select heating or ventilation and adjust the chosen setting.

This controller is for AUTOTERM Air heaters only. It is not listed for AUTOTERM Flow liquid heaters.
| Sensor setup | Available modes | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| No external temperature sensor | Power and ventilation | The heater runs continuously at the selected power. Ventilation circulates air without heating. |
| External temperature sensor connected | Temperature, heat plus ventilation, and ventilation | The controller can regulate around a temperature setpoint. Heat plus ventilation stops combustion above the setpoint, circulates air, then restarts heating when the temperature falls. |
Temperature and heat-plus-ventilation modes require a compatible external temperature sensor, AUTOTERM assembly 1458 or AT4-0017-AA0, sold separately. Power mode does not require the external sensor.
AUTOTERM Air heaters manufactured on or before 16 November 2016 do not support ventilation mode. Check the heater production date on its warranty card before ordering for an older installation.
Allow the heater to complete its shutdown purge. Do not disconnect the control panel or cut heater power while the heater is operating.
