The Victron Orion IP67 is a non-isolated DC-DC converter for caravan, motorhome, marine and off-grid electrical systems. It provides a stable converted DC output where equipment and system voltages differ. This product is a voltage converter, not a battery charger.

- IP67 encapsulated construction that is waterproof, shockproof and ignition protected.
- Cast aluminium casing with electronics moulded in resin to protect against water, oil and dirt.
- Wide input-voltage range for stable output during voltage surges or sags.
- Short-circuit protection and overload protection with automatic recovery after the fault is removed.
- Operating range from -40°C to +70°C, with full rated output up to 40°C.
- The 5A, 10A and 20A models use 1.8m input and output cables. The 50A and 100A models use M6 connections.
Input ranges and efficiency
- 24V to 12V, 5A, 10A and 20A models: 15V to 40V DC input and 93% to 95% efficiency, depending on model.
- 24V to 12V, 100A model: 18V to 35V DC input and 96% efficiency.
- 12V to 24V, 50A model: 10V to 15V DC input and 96% efficiency.
Compatibility and installation checks
Confirm the input voltage, output voltage and continuous-current requirement of your system before choosing a model. All five options are non-isolated converters. If your application needs battery charging or galvanic isolation, choose a product designed for that purpose instead.
Reverse-polarity protection requires an external fuse or circuit breaker, which is not included. Follow the Victron installation manual and use cable protection appropriate to the selected model and installation.

Is the Orion IP67 a battery charger?
No. It converts one DC voltage to another and supplies a stable output. It does not provide a battery charging profile.
Which model should I choose?
Match the converter to your system's input voltage, required output voltage and maximum continuous load. Check the model table and your equipment requirements before ordering.
Is it suitable for exposed or demanding installations?
The Orion IP67 is encapsulated and rated IP67, with protection against water, oil, dirt, shock and ignition hazards. Installation still needs to follow Victron's instructions.
