Important: The 70A model is IP20 and must be installed in a dry, protected location. The 50A and 1400 models are IP65 rated. An IP rating does not replace the mounting, ventilation, wiring and safety requirements in the applicable Victron manual.

Compatibility and installation checks
Before ordering, confirm the starter-system voltage, house-battery voltage and chemistry, required charge current, alternator capacity, installation environment and available mounting space. Cable size, fuse ratings, connection torque and ventilation must follow the manual for the selected model. Charging current should also stay within the battery manufacturer's limits.
Professional installation is recommended for vehicle, caravan and marine charging systems. Always isolate power before wiring and configure the correct charging profile before connecting the service battery.
