Protect high-current DC circuits in caravans, motorhomes, boats and off-grid power systems with a Blue Sea Systems Class T fuse block. These covered fuse holders accept fast-acting Class T fuses commonly used with inverters and other sensitive electronics.

Choose the correct Class T fuse block

The fuse range and the fuse block's maximum operating current are not the same. Match the model to the fuse size, cable terminals, installation environment and equipment manufacturer's requirements.

Blue Sea model Class T fuse range Ignition protected Terminal studs Maximum current

Installation guidance

Fuse rating, cable size, circuit load and terminal size must be assessed together. Follow the connected equipment manufacturer's instructions and the Blue Sea Systems installation information. Have high-current DC protection specified and installed by a suitably qualified person if you are unsure.

Frequently asked questions

Which model can be used where ignition protection is required?

Blue Sea models 5007100 and 5502100 are ignition protected. Model 5502 is not ignition protected.

What is the difference between 5502 and 5502100?

Both accept 225–400A Class T fuses. The 5502 is the non-ignition-protected 400A model with M10 terminal studs. The 5502100 is ignition protected, uses M8 terminal studs and has a 320A maximum current rating, reduced to 300A for continuous use inside an engine space.

Does the fuse block include a Class T fuse?

No. Select the correct Class T fuse separately to suit the equipment, cable and circuit design.

Can I use this with an inverter?

Class T fuses are widely used for high-current inverter protection. Confirm the required fuse type and rating in your inverter manual before ordering.

Can Select Caravans help me choose?

Yes. Contact our Auckland team with the equipment model, system voltage, required fuse rating and cable terminal size. We can help identify the appropriate option for delivery across New Zealand.
