The Powrtouch Evolution AWD 4-motor manual caravan mover provides remote-control manoeuvring for compatible twin-axle caravans. Four motor units drive all four caravan wheels for improved control in tight spaces. “Manual” refers to roller engagement with the supplied cross-actuation wrench; caravan movement is controlled from the remote handset once the rollers are engaged.

Check fitment before ordering

  • Designed for twin-axle caravans and uses four drive motors, two for each axle.
  • Powrtouch documentation lists standard chassis depths of approximately 150mm or 200mm. Some chassis require special mounting plates.
  • The AWD layout normally requires installation both in front of the front axle and behind the rear axle. Check space around tanks, cables, brake components, shock absorbers and tyres.
  • Confirm the caravan’s loaded weight, tyre condition, ground clearance and intended gradient with a competent installer.
  • Requires a suitable, fully charged 12V caravan leisure battery. The current manufacturer page lists a 100Ah power source.

What the system includes

The Powrtouch installation manual lists four motor units, two electronic control boxes, a remote handset, engagement wrench, motor and battery wiring, fuses, clamps, stop blocks, isolation switch and key, connecting bars, covers and installation fixings for the AWD system. Package contents can change, so confirm the current kit before ordering.

A caravan leisure battery, any chassis-specific mounting plates and installation are not listed as standard inclusions and should be allowed for separately unless expressly agreed.

Installation and safe use

This is a high-current 12V system that must be matched to the caravan chassis and installed without fouling tyres, brake cables, tanks or other underfloor equipment. The manufacturer manual states that the control boxes, isolation switch and fuse must not be installed in a battery box or gas-bottle compartment, and that the mover must not be operated while the caravan is connected to a 240V supply.

Always disengage the rollers before towing, keep tyres correctly inflated and follow the current Powrtouch installation, operating and maintenance instructions. Professional fitment by a competent caravan-mover installer is recommended.

Frequently asked questions

What does manual engagement mean?

You use the supplied wrench and cross-actuation mechanism to move the rollers onto or away from the tyres. The remote handset controls caravan movement after engagement.

How is this different from a two-motor twin-axle mover?

This AWD version drives all four caravan wheels. A two-motor twin-axle system drives only one axle. Four-motor drive can provide better control for tight turns, but a twin-axle caravan will not pivot in the same way as a single-axle caravan.

Will it fit every twin-axle caravan?

No universal fit is claimed. Chassis depth, axle spacing, suspension, shock absorbers, tanks, cables, tyres and available mounting space all need checking. Some caravans require additional mounting plates.

What battery does it need?

It operates from a suitable 12V caravan leisure battery. The current manufacturer product page lists 100Ah, but battery condition, cable layout and other onboard loads should be reviewed for the installation.

Is installation included?

Installation is not listed as a standard inclusion. Contact Select Caravans before ordering so we can help confirm fitment, current availability and the installation approach for your caravan.
