Victron Battery Balancer BBA000100100 equalises the state of charge between two series-connected 12V batteries in a 24V battery bank. It helps reduce midpoint voltage imbalance, uneven charging and the resulting strain on batteries in caravan, motorhome, marine and off-grid power systems.
For a 24V bank, use one Battery Balancer across the two 12V batteries. For a 48V bank made from four series-connected 12V batteries, use three Battery Balancers. Multiple balancers can also be connected in parallel where additional balancing capacity is required.

How the Battery Balancer works
When the total charge voltage of a 24V battery system rises above 27.3V, the balancer compares the voltage of the two 12V battery sections. It draws current from the higher-voltage section so the batteries move towards an equal state of charge. The unit returns to standby when system voltage falls below 26.6V.

Installation
Mount the balancer vertically on a well-ventilated surface close to the batteries, but never directly above them where corrosive battery gases may collect. Use correctly sized wiring and DC protection. Installation should be completed or checked by a suitably qualified person.
